Natural Health Girl's Newsletter, Should You Be Concerned About The Swine Flu? April 28, 2009 |
By choice, I don't watch, listen to or read a lot of mainstream news. However, since I do a lot of work on the computer, it's almost impossible for me to avoid the big news headlines. I'm sure by now, most people are aware of the swine flu situation in Mexico and in the United States. Some of you that listen to alternative news sources may even be skeptical of how this swine flu came about. Needless to say, in spite of all the controversies, whether we like it or not, we are being forced to think about this illness. So, is there reason for us to be concerned? It depends on your belief system and your immune system. Let me ask, are you any more at risk from infectious diseases today than a year ago? Your risk factor for ANY illness comes down to the state of your immune system not to a publicly claimed state of emergency. I debated about whether to address the swine flu in this newsletter addition, but I felt it important to help people remember their power in a situation such as this. So much of the news media focuses on "fear", and we are often told that our only protection from disease is by taking a man made synthetic drug. When we realize that fear and synthetic drugs are not our only option, then we can approach disease from a rationale, proactive point of view instead of a histerical, reactive point of view. Here are some points to consider for protecting your health from any illness.
