I'm TOTALLY BAFFLED by a certain belief!

This morning, I had a conversation with someone on the phone about frequency devices used for healing and "manmade" versus "natural" protection from harmful electro-magnetic fields also known as EMFs.

I find these topics fascinating, and when you begin to do research on them, it quickly becomes evident that there is so much to know and so much that we don't know.

So, this person that I was speaking with tells me that her utmost mission in life is to spread God's word through helping people achieve better health. I think this is wonderful, and I'm happy for her that she is so passionate about both of these.

Anyways, part of the conversation reminded me of other conversations I've had or overheard in church or bible study where it is strongly expressed that using crystals and certain natural healing methods are not tools of God. Of course, you can find many of these people on several different prescription medications, with no thought at all as to whether there is any evil behind "these drug tools". The belief that a "manmade" device or drug is of God, while a natural object like a crystal, stone or herb are not totally baffles me. (Don't get me wrong. I think there is a time and a place where mainstream medicine has its benefits.)

Many religions say that man is a "sinner" and not equal to God or the son of God. So, why do some of these believers then put "man" on a pedastal and choose a "manmade" solution over a natural God created solution?

Humans are always going to strive for power, money and acceptance. We are driven to have more knowledge, to accomplish higher feats, to express ourselves, to love and be loved and to win at great costs. For these reasons and maybe there are some others, people create and accomplish amazing things. Of this, there is no doubt. However, what we create can never compare to God's natural creations.

My point is not to devalue the wonderful and miraculous inventions and discoveries that humans have made, because I think this growth process is part of why we are on this earth. However, I also believe that we have gotten so far removed from the natural world around us that we are losing ourselves spiritually, mentally and physically.

When confronted with an issue that needs resolution, I always try to think of simple and basic approaches. I also ask the question, "How can I solve this through the most natural means?"

For instance, I've been looking into ways to get protection from harmful electro-magnetic fields. You can find a wide variety of manmade devices, and many of them carry a very expensive price tag. However, there are also ways to get EMF protection with things from nature. Often times, it is the marketing of the "manmade" devices that makes us believe their product is the only solution. Unfortunately, many natural solutions don't get the same attention.

In my own research, I discovered that different rocks and minerals, like rose quartz and himalayan salt crytals offer EMF protection. Exposure to the natural light waves from the sun is also protective. These are only a few examples of the many natural solutions that can be used. I don't know if there are many studies on these natural solutions over the "manmade" solutions, but I'll place my bet that nature rules every time.

So, my encouragement to others is don't always think you have to buy the $3000 frequency device to get the health results that you are looking for. I'm not saying there isn't value or credibility with such things. I'm merely saying that I believe God's given us the answer in the natural world around us, and all we have to do sometimes is step outside our door, absorb the sun, eat some wild berries and stick our feet in the dirt.
