Great Easy Exercise Ideas Walking This is not necessarily a new idea, but it is one worth validating. Walking is a great way to increase your fitness level. It also is great for relieving stress and allowing your mind to quiet down from hectic thoughts and schedules. Studies suggest that short bouts of activity can really increase your fitness level. So, don't overlook this easy exercise idea. Get out in nature if you can and appreciate the beauty around you. Spend at least ten minutes a day if possible or longer bouts every other day. Do what works best for you, but just get moving! Park Your Vehicle Away from the Door An easy way to get in your walking is to park further away from the door. If you do this at every errand stop, your walking will quickly add up. You'll be incorporating easy exercise into your life without even thinking much about it. Dance While getting ready in the morning, put on some peppy music and dance while you prepare for the day. Take a few extra minutes and dance with a spouse or your children to one or two songs. If you're single, don't let that stop you. Create groovy moves and just have fun. I'm sure it will be a great way to put a smile on your face and start off the day. Yard Work or Gardening Got some yard work that needs done? Don't hire it out. Do it yourself. Mowing the lawn, raking leaves or working in a garden are all wonderful ways to get some rewarding time with nature and get in your exercise too. Bed Crunchers No, these aren't crumbs from your midnight snack! These are situps you can do in bed before you roll out in the morning. Start by just doing ten. Increase if you want or just stay at ten. Ten situps every day is an awesome addition to your health routine. Heck, it's probably more than you were doing before and a great tummy is well worth the effort! Play Games If you have kids or a pets, play games with them. Something as simple as "Duck, Duck, Goose", "Ring Around the Rosie", playing frisbee or fetch with your pets. See who can do the most jumping jacks in a minute or race to a tree or your car. Not only will you get some bursts of activity, but you'll be building fun and happy relationships.

Jump Rope When was the last time you jumped rope? Remember how fun it use to be? Jump rope for ten minutes a day. That will get your heart going!

Stretching Just doing simple stretching exercises can make you feel worlds better. Find a few that you like and see if you can get rid of those stiff joints.
