Chocolate Kissed Grapefruit Dessert Recipe

This is a wonderful grapefruit dessert created by my daughter when she was 9 years old.
What you will need:
Pretty glasses, like juice or wine glasses
Grapefruit
Apples
Green and Black Chocolate or Raw Chocolate
Several small bowls
Grater
Directions:
- Peel grapefruit and break into chunks.
- Slice apples horizontally so they make circles and not triangle slices. (See picture.) We also left the seeds in to get the important vitamin b17 they contain.
- With the apple slices, cut in from one side to make a slit from the outside of the apple to the center. You will place these apple slices on the edge of the glass, so you might need to make a notch to get the apple slice to fit over the rim of the glass.
- In a bowl, squeeze some of the grapefruit into juice.
- Dip the apple circles into the grapefruit juice to keep the apples from turning brown. You may also use lemon juice.
- Shave chocolate into small bowl.
- Put a few chunks of grapefruit into glasses and add a bit of the shaved chocolate on top. (We use Green and Black’s organic chocolate, because it is made with cane sugar that is less refined. There are also raw food recipes for healthy chocolate choices.)
- Continue to layer the grapefruit and the chocolate shavings until the glass is full.
- Place 3 apple slices on the edge of your glasses and Wa’la!
You have a gorgeous, scrumptious dessert!
