Healthy Smoothie Recipe that Tastes Like Pumpkin Pie





Trick your taste buds and treat your body with this green healthy smoothie recipe. This smoothie tastes like pumpkin pie but there's no pumpkin!


Trick or Treat Smoothie
Original Recipe by Kelly Hoffman, Natural Health Girl


Ingredients:

  • Spinach
  • 2 Bananas
  • 1 Avocado
  • Water
  • Cinnamon
  • Nutmeg
  • Cloves

Directions:

Blend in blender several handfuls of spinach with 1/2 to 1 cup of water. (Depending on the power of your blender, sometimes adding the bananas right away helps it blend better.) Add 2 bananas, 1 avocado, 2 shakes of cinnamon, 1 shake of nutmeg, and a pinch of cloves. Blend all ingredients. If the ingredients aren't blending well, add more water and poke down with a spoon. Blend until smooth and creamy.

Taste test to see if you want more spices. With the right amount of spice, the smoothie will taste like pumpkin pie.

Makes approximately 3 cups.


Even though the name of this smoothie gives impressions of the Fall season and Halloween, this is a great smoothie recipe you can make anytime of year. If you love pumpkin pie, this smoothie will make you feel like you're indulging in a sensational dessert but without all the guilt and sugar.

It's a great way to feed your body good fats with the avocado and to get your veggies with the spinach. The bananas give this smoothie what it needs to feel like dessert while giving your body the nutritional potassium it requires. Simple ingredients, great tasting and satisfying!
